2024 Nominees will be announced in the coming weeks.
We moved the HOF dispaly to it's permanent home in July 2023 - The Pontiac Oakland Museum & Resource Center.
Being COVID changed the world, the PPA had to delay the announcing of the new nominees until 2022. Here is the list for 2022 in alphabetical order.
Head on over to our Facebook page for tons of pictures from POCI 2019!

Steve Ames, 78, of Marlborough, N.H., died on Dec. 20, 2020 from a brain bleed that resulted from a fall. Steve loved cars. At 12 years old he worked in a gas station.
After getting his engineering degree from Columbia University, he worked for a paper company in Maine. He left that to run a machine shop and drag race from 1961 to 1975
After seeing vendors selling parts at a swap meet, Ames started selling NOS Chevy parts, then switched to Pontiac parts. After attending the Flea Marketeers’ second show in Carlisle, Pa., in 1976, Steve started Ames Performance Engineering, Ames Automotive Enterprises and Ames Performance Classics.
He distributed a GTO parts catalog in 1983 and a Firebird parts catalog the next year. Then, in 1985, he moved into the reproduction parts business. Ames eventually sold the retail side of his company, but continued to develop new products and sell wholesale parts. He also started the annual Ames Performance Pontiac Tri-Power Nationals held in Norwalk, Ohio, every August.
The Ames Automotive foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, was created to recognize and appreciate unrestored American cars with under 10,000 miles. This collection grew to include at least 76 vehicles and is said to be worth millions of dollars.
Ames was a founding members of SEMA's Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO). In 2007, he was named ARMO’s Person of the Year. His parts won multiple "Best New Product" awards at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Ames is survived by his wife Joan, who used to vend with him at swap meets nationwide.
Milton E. Schornack Age 85, passed away November 14, 2020. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 57 years. Father of Andrea (Thomas) Michal, James (Cindy) and Michael (Christy). Proud grandfather of Jessica, Erik, Ryan, Jamie(Matthew), Trevor, Brett and Colin.
Predeceased in death by beloved brother Hilary.
Milton was born in Detroit July 8, 1935, the son of Frank and Celia Schornack. His career focused on his love of cars. Milt was know in many circles as Mr. Pontiac as he was iconic during the muscle car era in the drag racing circuit.
He was very proud and honored to be inducted into the Pontiac Hall of Fame in 2019.
A private service will be held at a later date.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the unveiling of the display before it went to the GTOAA Convention, and also to all of the participants in our online election.
Special thanks to the nominees/inductees and family members of the nominees/inductees that made the trip to the unveiling.
Everyone's interest and participation have helped make this an incredible first year! But we are far from done. So stay tuned for announcements about website updates and information about the election for the 2019 inductees.
Here they are! The HOF display and Awards!!
The general public voting has been completed and we would like to thank all of you for taking part!
The very first 10 inductees will be presented at the 1st Annual Pontiac Preservation Association Ceremony in Hatfield, Pennsylvania at the Pypes Exhaust/Max Performance car show on June 30th. Come out and see the display and to honor these individuals who have made Pontiac what it is!
If you are not able to make the show, we will post the results here and also on our Facebook page during the first week of July!
The first round of voting has been completed and we would like to thank all of our Committee members for taking part!
That means the general public voting is right around the corner. In the meantime, we ask that you please "like" and share our Facebook Page and any of our recent posts far and wide! We need this shown to as many people as possible to make a difference.
If you haven't already please Register with us so we can have your name and email on file when the time comes for the general public voting. You must be registered to take part in the election.
UPDATE!!!
A lot of you have expressed interest to vote in the 1st Annual Pontiac Hall of Fame Election and we would like to say that we really appreciate your continued patience.
A selected committee of 75 Pontiac people are voting right now and once that is over, we will have the general Pontiac public vote.
We ask that you bear with us a bit longer. If you haven't already please Register with us so we can have your name and email on file when the time comes for the general public voting.
And don't forget that the awards will be presented to those people and/or their family members at the GTOAA convention awards banquet. We will have the display piece at the Pypes Exhaust Car Show on June 30th first. Check out it in person if you can...
We are still having the 4 giant shows at one time… all Pontiac show, American Musclecar -n- Truck show, Chrysler show, as well as a Mustang show at the facility. All four shows are following the same format… all popular vote. Online pre-registration link will be active at the bottom of this post very soon!
This year will be the largest we have ever had!
Here’s why!
1.) The Finalists of the First Annual Pontiac Hall of Fame nominees will be announced! Come out and honor the movers and shakers that made our Pontiac hobby what it is today!
2.) The GTOAA National Convention is being held less than 15 miles away and just 2 days after our event! Here's an opportunity to catch 2 great shows in one week!
3.) The old GM Carlisle is now Chevys at Carlisle. Why would you want to go to a Chevy event with your Pontaic where you are clearly not wanted? We've contacted all 6 of the surrounding GTOAA and POCI Pontiac clubs and they are ALL supporting our event!
4.) Because of the proximity to the GTOAA convention, many parts vendors will be attending our event. Ames Performance will be the title sponsor and manufacturers Pypes Exhaust, Cold Case Radiators, GTOG8TA.com, Snappin Turtle, UMI, and their giant parts trailer will all be at our Open House!
5.) Fuel is at a 20 year low!
6.) The Pypes Car Show is already the largest and only Eastern Pontiac shows GROWING EACH YEAR!
7.) One Site: Live Music, Live Auto Auction, Hospitality Suites, Cruise-In, Food Court, Tours, Seminars.
8.) See the rarest Pontiacs in existence! #8 1969 Trans Am Convertible will be just one of the cars on display.
